Assesses, plans and provides patient care under the supervision of a physician. Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Requires a bachelor's degree and must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program. Must meet any state requirements pertaining to a physician assistant. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a physician.

Prosthetist/Orthotist
Designs and fits artificial limbs, braces and appliances for body deformities and disorders by carefully examining affected area for factors that would affect the fitting and/or placement. May specialize in making and fitting artificial limbs and be designated a Prothetist, or may specialize in making and fitting orthopedic braces and be designated an Orthotist. Typically requires a bachelor's degree, certification by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Psychiatrist
Evaluates patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Prescribes medication when necessary. Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May require at least 2-4 years of psychiatry experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May report to a medical director. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Psychologist
Evaluates patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires an advanced degree and a license to practice. May require at least 2-4 years of psychology experience. Radiation Physicist
Ensures the quality of care in the use of radiation-producing sources and imaging equipment and the protection of patients and staff from radiation. Calibrates all radiation therapy equipment, conducts X-ray machine performance surveys, and implements procedures to ensure quality control for electronic imaging devices. May require an advanced degree in radiation physics and at least 5 years of direct experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist
Calculates computerized isodose plans for radiation oncology patients. Computes standard dose calculations and determines computerized generation of isodose curves for external beam hyperthermia and brachytherapy radiation treatment programs. Calculates treatment machine settings, documents calculations, and records treatment data in therapy chart. Requires a bachelor's degree in the physical or biological sciences, must be registered in Radiation Therapy Technology, and must have completed a one-year program in Medical Dosimetry. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

Recreational Therapist
Plans and directs medically approved recreational programs for patients. Organizes activities according to the patients' capabilities, needs, and interest. Advises patients to get involved in leisure activities. Prepares reports for patient's physician describing patients' symptoms and reactions to therapeutic programs. Requires a bachelor's degree and a license/certification to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.

Recreational Therapy Director
Directs the programs and staff of the recreational therapy department. Sets and implements guidelines for recreational therapy programs. Conducts patient programs in areas of theater, games, and music. May require an advanced degree and professional certification with at least 7 years of direct experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to top management.
