Responsible for assessing a homecare facility's nursing practice and its impact on patient outcomes. Provides clinical direction to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care programs. Dental Hygienist
Under the direct supervision of a dentist, cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums, using dental instruments. Feels lymph nodes under patient's chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate presence of oral cancer. Feels and visually examines gums for sores and signs of disease. May provide clinical services and health education to improve and maintain oral health of school children. May conduct dental health clinics for community groups to augment services of dentist. May require an Associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience and is licensed as a dental hygienist. Dentist
Examines and treats diseases and injuries of teeth and gums. Performs preventative and maintenance dentistry and educates the patient in proper tooth and gum care. Recommends braces or surgery to correct any malformations. Requires a degree in dentistry from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May require 2-4 years of experience. Dietitian

Dietitian - Home Care
Coordinates, plans and conducts programs to educate patients in a home care environment about nutrition and medical nutrition therapy. Plans menus, inspects food to ensure portions adhere to set restrictions and dietary standards. Requires a bachelor's degree and is a registered dietitian with 2-4 years of experience. Enterostomal Therapist
Aids hospital staff and physicians in the care of patients with stomas, draining wounds, fistulae, incontinence, or potential or actual tissue trauma. Plans, assesses, and promotes enterostomal patient education needs and care in accordance with hospital policies and by developing and updating programs. Requires a degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse. Also requires 2-4 years of nursing experience. Head Nurse - CCU
Directs nursing service activities for assigned critical/coronary care unit patients. Delegates responsibilities to auxiliary and critical care unit staff nurses; supervises preparation and maintenance of critical care unit patient clinical records, and writes reports on critical care unit staff performance and services rendered. Maintains pre-set inventory standards for solutions, supplies, medicines and equipment, and keeps track of narcotics.
